I don’t have enough fans yet to start driving them away. If I went around like a complete ass in public why would a publisher want to be attached to me if I will give them a bad image? I represent all the publishers I have been published by and I owe it to them to put on a good face in the public arena.

Great post Brent! I agree with your wholeheartedly – as professionals we must always be aware of how the public perceive us. Otherwise, we may risk losing fans – both old and new.

Thanks my friend. Hardest thing I’ve ever written besides a flash fiction piece about my grandfather. Writing that story about killed me, but I needed to get it off my chest.
